Adjusting your glasses ensures a perfect fit. There are so many factors that may lead to glasses becoming loose or misaligned. Some of these factors may be due to strain and stress of normal day to day wear. In this handy guide, we will demonstrate how the various adjustments of the frames are done without any specialist equipment. It can be done all by yourself, by following these easy-to-understand instructions.

(1) When the glasses are sitting too low on your nose:

· When the frame of the glasses is the wire type

The thumbs should be used to push the nose pads closer together until they fit comfortably against either side of your nose.

· When the frame is plastic/acetate

Use a hairdryer over the part of the frame you want to bend for about 30 seconds to make it a little flexible to adjust. Then bend inward at the bridge, the hinges, or the bend of the temple arm, to make the frame fit more comfortably.

(2)When the glasses are pinching your nose:

· When the frame of the glasses is the wire type

The same method applies to this one but this time the thumbs should be used to push the nose pads a little further away from each other until they fit comfortably against either side of your nose.

· When the frame is plastic/acetate

Using the same method for this also by running the hairdryer over the part of the frame you want to bend for about 30 seconds to make it a little flexible to adjust. Then blend outward at the bridge, the hinges, or the bend of the temple arm, to make the frame fit more comfortably.

(3) When One lens is closer to your eye than the other:

Bend the left temple arm in and/or the right temple arm out at the hinge and bend the right temple arm in and/or the left temple arm out at the hinge.
